Privacy

This website is operated by AnyAutomation (see Imprint). We take the protection of personal data seriously. This policy describes which data we process and for what purpose.

Scope

This privacy policy applies to the website anyautomation.ch and all sub-pages, and to the licence and account data processed by the AnyAutomation Studio desktop application.

What data do we collect?

Server logs

When you visit the website, technical data is processed by our hosting provider (Netlify, USA / EU):

  • IP address (truncated where possible)
  • Date and time of access
  • User agent (browser, operating system)
  • Referrer URL

This data is used solely to deliver the website and defend against attacks, and is deleted after a short retention period.

Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless and privacy-friendly web analytics service from Cloudflare, Inc. No cookies are set, no fingerprints are generated, and no personal data is collected. Aggregated statistics (page views, time on page, referrer) are recorded in anonymised form. Beacon data is transmitted to Cloudflare servers. More: Cloudflare Web Analytics Privacy.

Contact

When you contact us by email, your details (name, email address, content) are stored for the purpose of processing the request. No data is shared with third parties.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies of its own. No browser storage is used for analytics or tracking purposes (sessionStorage is used only for the UI state of the hero puzzle and contains no personal data).

Licence and account data (desktop application)

When you sign in to the AnyAutomation Studio desktop application and when your licence is checked, the following data is processed on our licence server:

  • Your account e-mail address
  • A hashed hardware identifier of your computer (the underlying hardware details themselves are not transmitted)
  • A hashed identifier derived from the Windows account you are signed in with on that computer, which is transmitted only with licence checks, so that licence use can be distinguished per Windows account on a shared computer (the name of the Windows account and its Windows identifier are not transmitted)
  • Your IP address in masked form, at sign-in and at each licence validation
  • The date and time of each licence validation

Both identifiers are formed on your computer; only the resulting hash values are transmitted. We use this data to validate your licence, to prevent misuse, and to enforce the limit of three machine switches per 30 days. It is not used for advertising and is not passed on to third parties.

A record of licence binding checks is kept: one entry per activation, start-up validation and organisation seat validation, containing the two hashed identifiers named above, the masked IP address and the time; repeated identical checks within the same hour are stored once. The Windows-account-derived identifier is removed from these entries at the latest 400 days after the entry was written. The remaining machine-side history of the entry (hashed hardware identifier, masked IP address, time) is kept for as long as the account exists, as protection against licence abuse, and is deleted together with the account.

This data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, the data listed above is deleted with it. You can request access or deletion at any time: support@anyautomation.ch.

Dictation (local speech recognition)

The dictation feature of the desktop application recognises speech entirely on your computer; audio does not leave your device. The first time you start dictation, the application downloads the speech model once from Microsoft servers. As with any download, your IP address is transmitted to Microsoft in the process; Microsoft's privacy statement applies additionally. We do not receive any data in the process.

Right to complain

You may contact the competent supervisory authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy to reflect changes in law or technology.
